Connect OpenClaw to Outlook
Let an OpenClaw agent read, search, send and organize email and calendar events in Outlook, with no credentials handed to the agent.
Outlook is the mail and calendar client for organizations on Microsoft 365, which means it is the inbox for a large share of the business world. Along with the mail come the chores: sorting what arrived overnight, forwarding the right attachment to the right person, finding a meeting time that suits six calendars, and writing the same polite follow-up week after week.
With Claworc’s External Connections, an OpenClaw agent can work
inside an Outlook mailbox and calendar on your behalf. You sign in to your Microsoft
account once through a popup, Composio holds the resulting token, and the agent gets an
auto-generated claworc-outlook skill that describes which Outlook tools exist and how to
call them. The agent never sees a password, an OAuth token or an API key.
Tools available to OpenClaw agents
Section titled “Tools available to OpenClaw agents”Composio’s Outlook toolkit exposes more than 280 actions across mail, calendar, contacts and tasks. In practice an OpenClaw agent leans on a handful of capabilities:
- List and search mail — read messages from a folder, or search the mailbox by sender, subject, date or keyword.
- Send email — compose and send a new message, with recipients, body and attachments, from the connected account.
- Reply and forward — answer inside an existing conversation or pass a message on to someone else.
- Save as draft — write the email but leave it in Drafts for a person to review and send.
- Organize with folders and rules — move messages into folders in bulk and set up rules that keep future mail sorted automatically.
- Schedule meetings — find times that work for a set of attendees and put the meeting on the calendar.
- Download attachments — pull an attachment out of a message so the agent can read or file it.
Every action goes through a small broker running next to the agent, so the agent only needs to describe what it wants done in plain language and let the skill handle the rest.
Use cases

Section titled “Clean up the inbox on a schedule”Ask the agent to run each evening: list everything that arrived today, move newsletters and automated notifications into their folders, and leave a short list of the messages that actually need a reply. Once it has seen the pattern a few times, ask it to create a rule so the routine mail never lands in the inbox at all.
Draft follow-ups for review
Section titled “Draft follow-ups for review”Point the agent at a folder such as Prospects and have it draft a follow-up for every
thread with no reply in seven days, using the original message for context. Because it
saves drafts rather than sending, you skim the drafts, tweak a line or
two, and send the ones you want.
Schedule a meeting from an email thread
Section titled “Schedule a meeting from an email thread”Forward a thread where three people are trying to find time, and ask the agent to sort it out. It reads the constraints in the thread, finds slots that work for every attendee, creates the event with the thread summary as the description, and replies to the thread with the confirmed time.
Get started
Section titled “Get started”Connecting Outlook takes three steps: an admin adds a Composio API key to Claworc’s
settings, you open the instance’s Settings tab, click + Add connection, pick
Outlook and sign in to your Microsoft account. The claworc-outlook skill appears in the
