Connect OpenClaw to LinkedIn Ads
Let an OpenClaw agent report on LinkedIn Ads campaign performance, size audiences, forecast spend and manage lead forms, with no credentials handed to the agent.
LinkedIn Ads is where B2B marketing teams buy attention from a specific job title at a specific kind of company. Campaign Manager gives you the levers, but the work around it is manual and repetitive: exporting last week’s spend and clicks for the Monday meeting, checking whether an audience is big enough before building a campaign, pulling lead-form submissions, and answering “which creative is actually working?” from three different reports.
With Claworc’s External Connections, an OpenClaw agent can work inside
your LinkedIn Ads account on your behalf. You sign in to LinkedIn once through a popup,
Composio holds the resulting token, and the agent gets an auto-generated
claworc-linkedin_ads skill that tells it which LinkedIn Ads tools exist and how to call
them. The agent never sees a password, an OAuth token or an API key.
Tools available to OpenClaw agents
Section titled “Tools available to OpenClaw agents”Composio’s LinkedIn Ads toolkit exposes 28 actions. Most of them are read and analysis tools, which suits an agent that reports and recommends rather than one that spends money unattended. In practice an OpenClaw agent leans on a handful of capabilities:
- Report on ad performance — impressions, clicks, cost, conversions and engagement for accounts, campaigns or creatives, over a chosen date range.
- List campaigns — campaigns in an account filtered by status or type, so the agent can find everything that is active right now.
- Compare creatives — list creatives, optionally by campaign, status or lead-gen form, for creative-level comparisons.
- Size an audience — estimate how many members match a set of targeting criteria before you build the campaign.
- Explore targeting options — discover the available targeting categories and look up the specific industries, job titles, skills or companies inside them.
- Forecast spend and reach — impressions, clicks, reach and spend for a targeting, budget and bid combination.
- Manage lead forms — inspect the lead-gen forms an organization owns, or create a new one.
Every action goes through a small broker running next to the agent, so the agent only needs to describe what it wants done in plain language and let the skill handle the rest.
Use cases
Section titled “Use cases”Weekly performance summary
Section titled “Weekly performance summary”Ask the agent each Monday to list active campaigns, pull the last seven days of analytics for each, and post a short summary: spend against budget, cost per click, cost per lead, and the two creatives with the best and worst click-through rate. It lists the campaigns, pulls the analytics and compares the creatives, and you get the numbers before the meeting instead of after it.
Size an audience before building it
Section titled “Size an audience before building it”“How many people are VP of Engineering or above at software companies in Germany with more than 200 employees?” The agent resolves the titles, industry and location against LinkedIn’s targeting options, estimates the audience size, and tells you whether the audience clears the minimum of 300 members. Follow up with “what would a 5,000 euro budget buy over 30 days?” and it runs a supply forecast.
Organic page check
Section titled “Organic page check”The same connection covers organization pages. Ask for follower and share statistics for the company page over the last month and the agent returns impressions, clicks, likes and comments for your organic posts alongside the paid figures, so one report covers both.
Get started
Section titled “Get started”Connecting LinkedIn Ads takes three steps: an admin adds a Composio API key to Claworc’s
settings, you open the instance’s Settings tab, click + Add connection, pick
LinkedIn Ads and sign in to LinkedIn. The claworc-linkedin_ads skill appears in the
instance a moment later. The full walkthrough, including the exact Composio permissions the
key needs, is in the External Connections documentation.
