Connect OpenClaw to Klaviyo
Let an OpenClaw agent pull Klaviyo campaign and flow analytics, manage profiles and lists, and prepare campaigns, with no credentials handed to the agent.
Klaviyo is the marketing platform most e-commerce teams use to run email and SMS: welcome series, abandoned-cart flows, product launches and the weekly newsletter. It is also where a lot of repetitive work accumulates. Someone has to pull last week’s campaign numbers into a report, check which flows are live and which are stuck in draft, add the people from yesterday’s trade show to the right list, and answer “how many profiles are in the VIP segment right now?” for the fourth time this month.
With Claworc’s External Connections, an OpenClaw agent can work inside
your Klaviyo account on your behalf. You authorize Klaviyo once through a popup, Composio
holds the resulting token, and the agent gets an auto-generated claworc-klaviyo skill that
tells it which Klaviyo tools exist and how to call them. The agent never sees a password, an
OAuth token or a private API key.
Tools available to OpenClaw agents
Section titled “Tools available to OpenClaw agents”Composio’s Klaviyo toolkit exposes 225 actions covering campaigns, flows, profiles, lists, segments, catalogs, coupons and templates. In practice an OpenClaw agent leans on a handful of capabilities:
- List campaigns — email or SMS campaigns with filters for status, name and creation date, so the agent can find “everything sent in the last 30 days” quickly.
- Pull campaign and flow analytics — performance values for campaigns and flows, the raw material for any report.
- Query metric aggregates — metric events with grouping and time-based filters, for questions like “placed-order events per week, split by source”.
- Inspect segments — find segments and list the profiles inside them, filtered by email, phone or join date.
- Add and update profiles — upsert a profile and subscribe it to a marketing list, up to 1,000 profiles at a time.
- Draft campaigns — create a campaign from a set of parameters, leaving it for a human to review before sending.
- Manage flows — list flows and move one between
draft,manualandlive.
Every action goes through a small broker running next to the agent, so the agent only needs to describe what it wants done in plain language and let the skill handle the rest.
Use cases
Section titled “Use cases”Weekly campaign and flow report
Section titled “Weekly campaign and flow report”Ask the agent every Monday to pull campaign values for the previous week, compare them with the week before, and post a short summary: what went out, open and click numbers, which flow produced the most revenue. It lists the campaigns to find the sends and pulls the analytics for the figures, and you get a table instead of a morning in the dashboard.
Import contacts from a spreadsheet
Section titled “Import contacts from a spreadsheet”“Here is the CSV from the conference. Add everyone as a profile, tag them with the event name and put them on the Prospects list.” The agent walks the rows, creates or updates a profile for each one, adds them all to the list, then reports how many were new and how many already existed.
Segment check before a send
Section titled “Segment check before a send”Before a big campaign, ask “how many people are in the VIP segment, and how many joined this month?” The agent looks the segment up, pages through its profiles filtered by join date, and gives you the count. If the numbers look right, it can create the campaign draft for you to open, check and schedule yourself.
Get started
Section titled “Get started”Connecting Klaviyo takes three steps: an admin adds a Composio API key to Claworc’s
settings, you open the instance’s Settings tab, click + Add connection, pick
Klaviyo and sign in. The claworc-klaviyo skill appears in the instance a moment later.
The full walkthrough, including the exact Composio permissions the key needs, is in the
External Connections documentation.
