Connect OpenClaw to HubSpot
Let an OpenClaw agent look up contacts, update deals, log notes and manage tickets in HubSpot, with no credentials handed to the agent.
HubSpot is the CRM that many sales, marketing and support teams run on: contacts, companies, deals, tickets and the activity that ties them together. The value of a CRM depends on people keeping it current, and that is exactly the work that gets skipped. Call notes never make it into the record, deal stages lag a week behind reality, and the same contact exists twice with two different phone numbers.
With Claworc’s External Connections, an OpenClaw agent can work
inside your HubSpot portal on your behalf. You authorize HubSpot once through a popup,
Composio holds the resulting token, and the agent gets an auto-generated
claworc-hubspot skill that describes which HubSpot tools exist and how to call them. The
agent never sees a password, an OAuth token or a private app key.
Tools available to OpenClaw agents
Section titled “Tools available to OpenClaw agents”Composio’s HubSpot toolkit exposes more than 240 actions across the CRM, marketing email, pipelines and workflows. In practice an OpenClaw agent leans on a handful of capabilities:
- Search contacts and companies — find contacts and companies by email, name, owner or any property.
- Create contacts from plain text — create a contact from a description such as “Dana Ruiz, VP Ops at Halden, [email protected]”.
- Find and update deals — find deals by stage, amount or close date, and move them or change their properties.
- Log notes and tasks — log a note against a record and create a follow-up task for the owner.
- Read deal history — the calls, emails and meetings attached to a deal, so the agent has the full history before it writes anything.
- Manage support tickets — open tickets and change their status or priority.
Every action goes through a small broker running next to the agent, so the agent only needs to describe what it wants done in plain language and let the skill handle the rest.
Use cases
Section titled “Use cases”Log a call without opening HubSpot
Section titled “Log a call without opening HubSpot”Send the agent your notes after a customer call: “Talked to Dana at Halden, they want a pilot in November, budget approved, send the security questionnaire.” It finds the contact and the deal, creates a note with the summary, updates the deal’s close date and stage, and creates a task for you to send the questionnaire by Friday.
Weekly pipeline check
Section titled “Weekly pipeline check”Ask the agent every Monday to search for open deals with a close date in the past or no activity in fourteen days, read the activity on each one, and post a list grouped by owner with a one-line suggestion per deal. Stale deals get noticed before the forecast meeting instead of during it.
Triage support tickets
Section titled “Triage support tickets”Have the agent watch a shared inbox and, for each new customer issue, search for the contact, open a ticket with the right priority, and attach a note summarizing the request. Duplicates get merged into the existing ticket rather than creating another one.
Get started
Section titled “Get started”Connecting HubSpot takes three steps: an admin adds a Composio API key to Claworc’s
settings, you open the instance’s Settings tab, click + Add connection, pick
HubSpot and sign in. The claworc-hubspot skill appears in the instance a moment later.
The full walkthrough, including the exact Composio permissions the key needs, is in the
External Connections documentation.
